Cops on Friday went to the home of an Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara, sexagenarian where a quantity of marijuana and suspected cocaine was found. The drugs were reportedly wrapped in foil paper and stored in transparent bags on a counter in her kitchen, the Guyana Police Force said.
The woman was told of the offence committed and under caution, she admitted saying that “I selling da cocaine and weed fo mine me sickly husband.”
She was then arrested and escorted to the Leonora Police Station along with the narcotics. The cocaine was weighed and it amounted to 10.3 grams, while the cannabis amounted to 28.6 grams. The suspect was then placed into custody pending further investigation.
