Sherman Joseph, 57, of Koberimo Hill, North West District was charged on June 14, 2023, with the offence of Setting Fire to a Swelling House Contrary to Section 140 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act Chapter 8:01. The property was the dwelling house of Annette Joseph, also of Koberimo Hill.
The accused appeared at the Mabaruma Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Sunil Scarce where the charge was read to him. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment.
