On Monday last, at about 15:00hrs, ranks of the Police Marine Section discovered a body of a male floating in the Demerara River in the vicinity of the Houston area.
The body was identified as 37-year-old Calvin Sancho, a security guard attached to GEB Security Services.
Guyana Standard understands that Sancho hailed from Coldigen, East Coast Demerara (ECD). His body is at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
