Four persons from Capoey Mission, Essequibo Coast, in Region Two, were charged with the offence of Unlawful Wounding, Contrary to Section 50 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01. They are accused of wounding Trevor Carter, a 34-year-old labourer. The incident occurred on April 9, 2023, at Capoey Mission, Essequibo Coast.
Those charged yesterday were: Sanchus Clarke, a 25-year-old Labourer; Eon James, a 28-year-old Chainsaw Operator; Curt Hendricks, a 22-year-old Unemployed man; ane Andy Hendricks, a 26-year-old Labourer.
Curt Hendrick, Andy Hendricks and Eon James appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, before Magistrate Esther Sam, where the charge was read to them and they pleaded not guilty.
Bail was granted in the sum of $50,000 each. Sanchus Clarke was absent, and an ‘arrest warrant’ was issued. The case was adjourned to October 18, 2023.
