Rafeek & Moore Bertling Logistics (Guyana) Inc., a recently formed joint venture company, has highlighted Guyana’s pivotal role as a strategic hub at the crossroads of South America and the Caribbean. In a press release celebrating the success of its operations since October 2023, the company emphasized Guyana’s unique position, as a gateway to both regions and a strategic epicenter for trade.

It offers a gateway to both regions, making it a strategic hub for trade and commerce,” the company said. Its operations, which commenced in October 2023, have already showcased the significance of Guyana’s geographical positioning too.
The joint venture, a collaboration between Rafeek & Moore and Bertling Logistics, has swiftly become a key player in the region’s logistics landscape. Strategically positioned offices in both Guyana and Suriname has enabled the joint venture to provide end-to-end logistics services, focusing on local partnerships for efficient supply chain management. The Guyana facility, headquartered at Rafeek & Moore’s office in the Port of Georgetown, aligns perfectly with the country’s emergence as a regional economic powerhouse.
With a primary focus on the oil and gas, mining, and construction sectors, Rafeek & Moore Bertling Logistics (Guyana) Inc. said it aims to add value to the local market by leveraging the strengths and structures of both collaborating companies. The joint venture is led by Colin Moore of Rafeek & Moore and Steve Ross-Munro of Bertling Logistics, bringing decades of industry experience to the forefront.

Meanwhile Colin Maclsaac, CEO of Bertling Logistics, expressed confidence in establishing a leading position in Guyana and surrounding regions.
