Just after lunchtime today, the skeletal remains of a human was discovered in a drain close to Hope foreshore on the East Coast Demerara.
The Guyana Standard has been informed that investigators could not determine if the body is of a male or female.
According to information received, a group of persons were in the area cleaning the surroundings when they discovered the remains. Investigators are at the scene and from all indications, the remains might have been there for a while.
