A 21-year-old woman from Paradise, East Coast Demerara, aided the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation in making history yesterday when she became the first woman of the year to deliver triplets at the institution.
Latifa Stephen, the mother of the newborns, is said to be recovering well and is grateful for her blessings. Her partner, a policeman, is said to be working in Berbice.
The delivery team, Guyana Standard understands, included Nurse Carol Trotz who is said to have participated in a number of similar deliveries.
